Sarina Women's Week Award Dinner
6 March 2020
Cultural Hall, Sarina, QLD, AU
Hosted by the Sarina Neighbourhood Centre with three guest speakers including Amanda Grobbelaar.
Amanda says:"Success is when we adjust another girl’s crown before anyone else notice that it was crooked;
Success is when we do not blow out someone else’s candle so that ours can shine brighter, but rather add ours to hers so that we can push back darkness together. Success is what we all do every day, despite how we feel or what we face: we get up, we dress up, and we show up. Sarina ladies, because of your selflessness, kindness, love, resilience, determination, dedication and inner drive, name it what you will, your community, our region, is a better place of everyone. To be in the room with you tonight, celebrating the remarkable women who serve their community tirelessly and to share a snapshot of my journey, creating awareness for the 23,000 Australians and 2 million+ people worldwide who battles a debilitating MonSter, called MS, daily, is "success"." |
